Matcha Pancakes

Materials:

  • 1 egg
  • 1/3 cup milk
  • 2 tablespoons oil or melted butter
  • 2 tbsp sugar
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 tablespoon matcha powder
  • 1 ½ teaspoon baking powder
  • a pinch of salt

Implementation:



  1. In a large bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, vegetable oil or melted butter, sugar, and vanilla extract.



  2. Add the flour, matcha powder, baking powder, and salt, and pulse 7-10 times until combined; the mixture can and should be lumpy.



  3. Heat a frying pan over medium-low heat. Grease with vegetable oil or butter.



  4. Using a 1/4 cup measuring cup, drop spoonfuls of the pancake mixture in circles onto the pan. Wait until bubbles appear and pop on the surface, then flip the pancakes and cook for another minute or so.



  5. Stack the pancakes and serve them hot with butter and strawberries.
